THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT)-TITLLE 32, Position Description Number PDD2526P02 and is part of the KY G6, National Guard.
Qualifications
Military Grades: E4 (SPC) - O2 (1LT) CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard. You must be assigned to a compatible military position. Wear of the military uniform. May be subject to furlough actions. May be required to successfully complete a trial period. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Must maintain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation. Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate a military bonus. Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) eligibility. This position is located on a tobacco free facility. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. Incumbent must complete appropriate training and obtain required certifications IAW DoDI 8140 or DOD 8570.01M or applicable governing document(s) for Cyber workforce as an IA Technician Level II within 9 months of employment pending training seat availability. This position conducts information assurance functions. The incumbent shall comply with the requirements of the certification program and will be required to obtain and maintain certification. Certification requirements are outlined in DOD instruction 8570.01-M. Position is designated as OM-STS-001 within the Defense Cybersecurity Workforce as guided by NIST SP 800-181, National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education, Cybersecurity Workforce Framework. Which establishes the Tasks, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities expected of this position. Must maintain Security+ Certification
